Sorry for the multiple emails that we sent earlier regarding liteserver migration. We are also sorry because it lost formatting. The following is reproduced in correct formatting in readable form.

This announcement concerns users that are on liteserver. It does not concern users which are on any other server.

To confirm that you are on liteserver please go to http://cp.liteserver.com and try to login using your control panel details. If you are able to login then you are on liteserver and the following important information applies to you.

We will be migrating Liteserver to a new server in our new colocation facility. This migration will complete on the night of Sunday 8th June 2008. The old liteserver will remain online till 15th June 2008.

During this migration the following software will also be upgraded.

a. SmarterStats will be upgraded to 3.2 Branch.
b. ColdFusion will be upgrade to version 8.
c. PHP4 and PHP5 will be upgraded to their latest release versions.

We hope this migration goes as smothly as we forcee but it is important that you pay attention to the following points and take corrective action if neccessary.

a. The primary IP will change to 66.63.181.97. This will be done automatically for you if you are using our nameservers i.e.,

ns1.liteserver.com & ns2.liteserver.com

b. If you are using your own private nameservers such as

ns1.yourdomain.com
ns2.yourdomain.com

Then make sure that ns1.yourdomain.com points to 66.63.181.97. We cannot do this on our own you will have to do it at your domain registrar. Please do it ASAP.

c. Make sure that in your DB connections in scripts, ODBC DSN's and CF DSN's you and your clients are using the following hostnames to connect to mysql and mssql server respectively.

mysql.server for MySQL
mssql.server for MSSQL

If you and your clients are not following this then you may lose database connectivity. Even if you have database connectivity you may lose it in the future and you will also lose data. We cannot stress this enough.

d. HELM IP will change to 66.63.181.110. Again you do not have to worry about this but if use helm ip's anywhere in your workflow you will have to change it the above. HELM will start resolving on this ip by monday.

If you connect to cp.youdomain.com or cp.liteserver.com then please do not worry because that part will be handeled by us.

If you follow the above guidelines then we do not force any problems.
