Just wondering if you have any cfx tags installed? Particularly of use would be JZIP: http://www.cftagstore.com/tags/cfxjzip.cfmand a decent image custom tag, this is probably too expensive but is i believe the best around: http://www.easel2.com/cfximage_support.htmlI don't want to make my first post a bunch of requests, neither of the above are absolutely required but the zip tool would be very handy. I'd like to write a new content ,management feature to allow multiple image uploads va zip to prevent my content authors from having to upload individual files when creating image galleries (so get them to upload a zip of .jpg's and unpack at server end). There may be security issues there - i've not had chance to look into it properly yet. with the above image custom tag i could then add watermarks and resize / create thumbs etc all in one go. Could you give me a list of any custom tags already installed? Thanks and hello everyone ;) Edited by user Thursday, February 23, 2006 3:19:22 AM(UTC)

At this point no custom tags are installed.
First i will note down the problem with custom tags which is "most" do not follow sandbox security settings which becomes a mess from a security point of view.
BUT :)
We will do our own research on your suggestion but it will be better if you give us more options to choose from. This could be a good thread to discuss various custom tags, their security implications, affordibility etc.

Any tags that you add are going to add value to the service. So I am all for this. I haven't kept current on tags, but does anyone know of a good image resize tag?

So it turns out i do actually use one already and could do with it being installed at hostingfest, it's cfx_image http://www.kolumbus.fi/jukka.manner/i'll dig through some other possibilities once i've managed to get everything migrated from my previous host. if the above could be installed in the mean time that would be fantastic!

Also, with these tags, as they are added, we need to make sure there is documentation in the knowledge base on using them, and keep a running list somewhere for whats installed.

It might be a good idea to make "sticky topic" and keep it update with all the CF Tags installed on the servers.

Hi guys I'm new to your site - referred from well... a bad review of my current hosting company :lol: Right now I have what I like to call a "slush" host to just store my crap and test my ColdFusion applications. I'm shopping around for a new provider and your company has taken my eye quite so. I like how the moderators are so active on your own forums it shows interest and definitley comfort on a customer level. Eventually if all is well I will probably become a customer! :)
Anyway, onto the point of this post sorry for sidetracking. To anyone who is not entirely familiar with components, UDFs, custom tags etc there are about 1,000 and 1 different work-arounds to everything you do in CF. Obviously some things hosting companies do need to deny for security reasons, however if you educate yourself enough to cf OOP(Object Oriented Programming) there are hundreds of ways to work around these complications. If you have open source to some of your components you could actually tweak the code in ways to make it work with hostingfest. Easer said then done... right? Well yes... of course you're right! But a work around is better then not working at all. More then welcome to help out anyone who needs help as well with any CF!
Oh and to the hostingfest guys... how about installing my custom cftag..
<cfhostingfest sethostabledomains="5000000" pricepermonth=".01" setstoragelimit="10x1000093449E">
